. for the most part it is peaceful and tension outside his house in a city outside of cairo, but, deb, we want to pass along some new information that we just confirmed and we're not sure what this means in the grand scheme of things. but the president's adviser has announced that the vote for the constitution for expats, egyptians living outside of egypt, that was sketcheduled fo tomorrow, it is postponed until tuesday. the opposition factions, mr. morsi's critics want the vote for next saturday, taking place here in egypt. that's the referendum on the constitution, they want that to be canceled. that hasn't happened yet. that's why they're out here protesting again. and also rejecting the president's speech from last night, a lot of people -- anxious to see what the president would say, if he can resolve this conflict, back down from his position. did not. what he did was call for calm, call for the political factions of the leaders to come to the palace tomorrow and meet. he also issued a stern warning to protesters not to resort to violence, but, again, he didn't back down from his core po

for children, a city, a country at war with itself. what kind of things are these little girls seeing beyond the school gates? >> translator: we as educators don't support one side or the other. our concern is for the child to learn. so we keep the school open and help with their fears. we can't do as much as before, but the key thing is to try to deal with their anxiety. >> reporter: up, down, left, right, two, three, four. out in the playground it's a p-e lesson. exercises including running to the wall, touching it and running back. here, the running's for fun, but beyond the school walls, a shell or mortar can land anywhere any time, running could be a matter of life and death. for obvious reasons the killing of small children and teachers in and around school buildings is pretty near the top of the news agenda at the moment. so it is in this educational district and the one next door alone in the past two weeks, 35 small children and two teach verse been killed. the security building next to the school was car bombed recently, leaving a staff candid about the problems they face here. >>

wear to you it's spectacular. and i actually just love watching major cities get destroyed in a completely fake and ridiculous way, which is what this movie is. >> anyone wearing a hat like this certainly would. but jack reacher, les mis and django. why these for christmas? >> they are a touch violent. here's the thing "jack reacher" is surprisingly funny and tom cruise is once again helping us through is the holidays by hunting down the bad guys. he's a movie star, nobody does it better and by the way, the dude does his own stunts. i couldn't believe it when i was watching it. and i laughed through the whole thing. now, "less miserables" is, of course, account movie adaptation of the very, very popular music musical which i knew nothing about. all the critics aren't completely in love with it, but i thought it was if ied with passionate performances and watching ann hathaway almost starving to death in front of my very eyes helped me kick start my holiday diet. >> come on, now. >> she's magnificent. i actually think we're going to see tons of oscar awards come out of this

settings, not the places that we think of as characteristically violent. we think of big cities as places where there's gun violence. and of course there is. but these kinds of shootings don't happen in big cities. they happen usually in small towns or suburbs. >> and is there a common thread in the mental health history of the boys involved in these? >> there is almost always a mental health condition. the sad thing is it's often unrecognized and untreated. so we don't know if that will be true in this case. but in most of the cases we looked at, there was after-the-fact evidence of mental disorders but no treatment. that's disturbing because we like to think we can recognize the symptoms. but particularly when the shooters are younger than this one, the ones we looked at were 13, 12, the signs of distinguished mental illness that are going to be so vivid if they survive into their 20s are not so easy to discern when they're 13. so sadly there is a -- there's evidence after the fact often that comes up in forensic examinations, but not the kind f of evidence that leads to the treatment t

volumes this morning as the nation and the city of newtown remembered what happened one week ago today. rain drops, only rain drops were heard during this moment of silence. firefighters there in newtown, paying tribute to the 20 children, the 6, the 7-year-olds and the seven adults gunned down, for reasons we may never know. the reflections began at 9:30 this morning eastern time. the time that first call came in to 911. at least 29 states held a moment of silence, put their flags at half-staff. parts of the internet went silent. video gamers put down their consoles in unity and bells across connecticut sounded for each killed at sandy hook elementary school.
